Xiaomi is producing a wide range of smart products. We’ve got the QiCycle folding electric bike but if it’s still too bulky for you, here is the good news.
Xiaomi has just announced the Mi electric scooter on its MIJIA crowdfunding platform in China. The scooter can be folded in a few seconds and the weight of 27.5 lbs (12.5 kg) is quite easy to carry around. It is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, so it is quite lightweight and durable as well.
The scooter is powered by an LG 1850 EV-lithium ion battery with the capacity of 280Wh. So, you can ride up to 18 miles (30 km) on a single charge. The battery life is extended, thanks to the Kinetic Energy Recovery System which use kinetic energy to charge the battery. You will just need to release the throttle or press the brake handle to start the system.
Besides, it features the E-ABS anti-lock braking system on the front wheel and double disc brake on the rear wheel. The maximum speed of the scooter can reach 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
Another interesting feature is the connected app. You can connect your smartphone to the Mi scooter and track the speed, battery level, and other information.
The Mi Electric Scooter will be available in China this December, you can choose between black and white color variants. It is priced at CNY 1,999 (less than $300).
